Written for Every Kind of Couple, Not Just One

It is a fair question, and usually the answer is disappointing. Plenty of couples apps are written for a straight couple, then run through a find-and-replace: the nouns change, the assumptions do not. You can feel it by the third card.

So here is the honest version of how Naughty Match works, and you can judge it yourself with the real cards further down.

When you set up, the app asks what your couple looks like: two women, two men, or a mixed couple. It is one of the first things it wants to know, not a setting buried three menus deep.

That choice is not cosmetic. Each piece of content in the app carries the couple type it was written for — the two of you get cards authored for your couple, not cards authored for someone else and adapted on the fly.

Rather than tell you, here are actual Light-level cards from the app for each couple type. The app fills in your names where the brackets are. Read them next to each other — they are not the same sentence with a word changed.

The app does not show a mixed couple to everyone. The artwork changes with your couple type too — across all four intensity levels.

This matters more for some couples than others, so it is worth being specific. Naughty Match has no public profiles and no social login. You do not connect an account, there is no feed, and there is nobody to appear in front of.

The game syncs between your two phones and nowhere else. What you play stays between you.

Nothing is cut down. All eight games and all four intensity levels work exactly the same for you — from Light, which is romantic and gentle, through to Extreme. You choose the level, you can skip any card without penalty, and you can drop back a level at any time.

You can play passing one phone back and forth, from two phones in the same room, or from two cities.
